Hi, my name is Adriana. Welcome to my Santa Barbara organic children's store.
I am a mom, wife, entrepreneur and philanthropist. I was born and raised in Slovakia which is located in Central Europe. I graduated from Commenius University in Bratislava as a Pharmacist.
I have a big passion for children, their safety and education. I wanted to create a safe place for kids. In October 2008 after we celebrated our daughter's (Summer Faith) first birthday in August, Summer For Kids in Montecito, CA was born!
Summer For Kids was founded with the goal of creating a store that was child health-conscious and environmentally responsible, where parents can be assured that the products they purchase are organic and ecologically safe, and know which products are the most safe and healthy for their children. Summer For Kids' goal is also to provide support to children's charities that can advocate for children and give them a voice.
My big passion is to END Child Abuse! I grew up in an abusive home myself so I do know how it feels to be the child... My husband and I decided that we could make a difference. We decided to put our money where our passion is.
100% of profits from the store, including my salary, goes directly to children's charities.
Summer For Kids is one way that people can help. Purchases directly impact the lives of children for the better. Customers can feel good about shopping, knowing that every penny of profit will go to support children that need it the most.
Summer For Kids also collects gently used toys and clothes that we donate to children in need. If you would like to make a donation, please bring them into the store or mail them to us.
Our store has a children's play area in the back, filled with educational, creative and safe toys. We believe play is very important for child's development and we encourage healthy play. It also gives kids an opportunity to try out some of our great toys.
